But now our prayers have been answered.
Heartstopper has officially been announced for not one, but two more seasons on Netflix.
Two more seasons of Heartstopper to come
It’s only been weeks since we all fell in love with Nick and Charlie in Heartstopper.
When they left us at the end of season one Nick was on the verge of coming out as his love story with Charlie developed.
Since then the world has been on pins and needles waiting to know what awaits these young lovers.
This week Netflix has delivered us some brilliant news.
The streaming giant has decided to renew Heartstopper for not one, but two more seasons.
Which is an unusual move for the streaming service.
In a time where many shows don’t survive past one or two seasons, to be picked up for multiple series is a rarity.
Heartstopper tops the charts
The decision for Netflix to pick up the program for a multi season renewal clearly lies in its instant popularity.
Not only has the show had everyone talking, it has been trending worldwide.
Following the release of season one Heartstopper has appeared in in the top 10 on Netflix in a staggering 54 countries.
The hit show has been receiving 100% review scores on rotten tomatoes and has made overnight stars out of its leads.
Joe Locke and Kit Connor had just over 100,000 followers each on Instagram before Heartstopper was released.
Now both of the young men have over 2.5 million followers each.
It’s clear the world has fallen for Heartstopper and cannot wait for season two to arrive.
