Actor and former Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger says ‘Hasta la vista’ to anti-gay fan.
Arnie changed his Facebook profile picture to a shot of him in character for the action film Terminator Genisys, seen through a rainbow filter.
He was joining in Pride celebrations and also celebrating the Supreme Court ruling in favour of same-sex marriage across the United States.
But one fan wasn’t so happy, saying: “What’s wrong with (you) Arnie? I have to unlike…”
The Terminator star responded simply with one of his most famous lines: “Hasta la vista.”
Arnold Schwarzenegger said in an interview with USA Today: “Politicians sometimes get stuck in their ideological corners, and then nothing gets done.
“And it happens too often in America, so it is good that we have a judiciary branch that sometimes can step in and give guidance in that direction.
And in this case, it is just very simple. You cannot deny someone, you know, a right, just because they’re gay or the same-sex marriage and all that stuff.”
Schwarzenegger was also asked about his personal beliefs on gay marriage.
“I’m happy that finally they made the leap forward in the United States.”
So, to Arnie’s former fan, we say: Hasta la vista baby!
