It would be the toss of a coin for most women – Prince William or Prince Harry?
But Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore, 41, has given the thumbs down to both, preferring the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton.
In an interview with ITV’s Loose Women, the star weighed in on which member of the royal family she preferred.
But rather than opting for either of the princes, Drew, who has opened up in the past about her relationships with women, said she’d pick Kate.
“I’d love to be with Kate Middleton the most – at the risk of sounding controversial,” she said.
“Princesses over princes!”
Drew has previously described herself as bisexual, saying she has been with multiple women and telling Contact Music in 2003, “Do I like women sexually? Yeah, I do. Totally. I have always considered myself bisexual.”
The actress – who has been married three times – has only ever enjoyed high-profile romances with men, including a five-year relationship with The Strokes’ drummer Fabrizio Moretti and an on/off liaison with actor Justin Long.
Drew has been linked to former magazine editor Jane Pratt and even Ellen Page in the past before settling down with now ex-husband Will Kopleman, but has never commented on the claims.
It’s not likely the light-hearted interview will develop into a scandal – but if the royal marriage were to go pear-shaped (let’s not forget Charles and Diana) Drew and Kate would surely make a stunning couple!
