Australia’s Dami Im has made it through to the Eurovision Song Contest’s Grand Final.
The Queenslander performed her big ballad “Sound of Silence” in the contest’s second semi-final in Stockholm, Sweden this morning Australian time to a standing ovation and scored one of the 10 remaining place in the Eurovision grand final.
After the announcement, Dami tweeted, “Thank you, Eurovision! Was an honour to perform tonight!”

Dami is Australia’s second Eurovision entrant, following Guy Sebastian who placed fifth last year.
The Eurovision 2016 semi-finals will be screened on SBS tonight and tomorrow night from 7:30pm. The Grand Final will be screened live on SBS this Sunday from 5am, and repeated at 7:30pm.
