Boundary-pushing Canadian electro artist Peaches is coming to Australia.

The transgressive singer, whose real name is Merrill Nisker, has announced a string of Australian club sideshows along the east coast and Perth in May to complement her regional performances  at the  Groovin The Moo Festival.

Peaches will play the Hi-Fi in Brisbane on  May 6, giving Australian fans an early  preview of the new material from her forthcoming album RUB,  her first since 2009’s I Feel Cream.

She’s also readying the release of a photo book titled What Else Is In The Teaches of Peaches in June. The tome will  feature  an intimate look at her life and  her performance art through photos, with high-profile Peaches superfans Ellen Page, Yoko Ono and REM’s Michael Stipe providing written contributions.

Groovin The Moo festival finishes in Townsville on  May 10  after shows in regional venues across the country. Joining Peaches on the lineup are Charli XCX, Tkay Maidza, San Cisco, Ball Park Music, A$AP Ferg, Hilltop Hoods and more.
