Eureka O’Hara: “These are some of my first steps”

Eureka O’Hara is one of the most well known, larger than life stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race.

With their inspirational and upbeat attitude it came as a shock to many when Eureka made their announcement.

Taking to Twitter they posted, “I’m in Rehab. It was time for me to get my addiction and mental self under control.”

The Drag Race star didn’t go into further detail about what they were being treated for.

“I’m embarrassed!” They confessed.

“These are some of my first steps.”

Many Drag Race Alumni were quick to offer reassurance to the star.

Brooklyn Hytes, Yuhua Yamasaki, Rose and All Stars alumni Pandora Boxx all tweeted their support.

Eureka reassured everyone they would return soon, with a return timeframe confirmed.

“I’ve been here over a week and already feel clearer and better.”

“Will be back in Vegas mid March! I’m so sorry and love you all!”

From Drag Race to Stardom

Eureka O’Hara first appeared on Drag Race season 9.

After an injury forced their removal from the competition they returned for season 10.

Their second attempt proved successful as it took them all the way to the final 4, just shy of the crown.

Eureka O’Hara eventually returned to Drag Race for their 3rd attempt at the crown in All Stars 6.

Unfortunately they didn’t snag the crown again.

However life outside of Drag Race has proved successful for the star.

Joining Shangela and Bob The Drag Queen for We’re Here has seen their star rise.

The trio have travelled America spreading love through their new show.

HBO announced the program had been renewed for a 3rd season late last year.
