Drag Race star Aja LaBeija to return to TV on season 3 of Legendary

Drag Race star Aja LaBeija is set to make a stunning return to our screens on the television show, Legendary.

The drag star originally appeared on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 9 and All Stars 3.

This will be their first return to television since 2018.

Becoming Aja LaBeija

When they first appeared on Drag Race season 9 the drag performer was simply known as Aja.

Several years later the talented performer joined the Royal House of LaBeija.

The house was founded by drag queen Crystal LaBeija in the early 1970s.

Aja has also been the mother of their own house “The Haus of Aja.”

They are the drag mother to fellow Drag Race contestants Dahlia Sin and Kandy Muse.

Aja later came out as non-binary.

Legendary: Season 3

In May 2020 the new show Legendary debuted on HBO Max in the United States

The program is dedicated to exploring the world of ball culture.

The program pits houses against each other as they compete in 9 different balls.

Contestants fight for the chance to win $100,000 for their house in challenges involving dancing, voguing and walking events.

After praise for it’s representation of the trans and queer community as well as the ball scene, the show was renewed for a second season.

Following it’s success it was confirmed the third season of the program will air in 2022.

Aja LaBeija has been announced as one of the contestants competing on the third season for the House Of LaBeija.

The season will air for 10 episodes beginning on May 19th on HBO Max in the US.

Legendary is available to watch on Binge in Australia.
