The one and only Dolly Parton has made her appearance in the final episode of Grace and Frankie

After saying for years that she wanted to appear on the show the star teased her appearance last year.

Now our prayers have been answered as the show draws to a close.

After making us wait until the very end of Grace and Frankie, Dolly Parton has finally made her cameo.

It’s been 42 years since Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Dolly Parton appeared together in 9 to 5.

Since then we’ve been gagging for an on screen union with this iconic trio.

Now our prayers have been answered.

During the very final episode of Grace and Frankie, Dolly Parton has appeared.

And of course, it is in the most heavenly way possible.

“Are you supposed to knock on heaven’s door?”

Without giving too much away, we can tell you Dolly Parton’s appearance is both cute and fabulous.

After a mishap with a glass wine and a microphone Grace and Frankie wake up in what appears to be the afterlife.

As they orientate themselves a door appears, beckoning them to enter.

Letting themselves through, the girls are greeted my Dolly Parton as she dramatically reveals herself, in a swivel chair.

Whilst the country singer reveals she is not in fact the almighty, she is Agnes, a working-class angel.

But she is here to sort out the final paperwork for the duo.

The struggle now is, are Grace and Frankie at heavens door or will they return to their lives?

Is this it all just a dream or will it be their final goodbye?

The final episodes of Grace and Frankie are now available on Netflix.
