Derry Girls Liam Neeson

Derry Girls season three is just around the corner and the show has released details of a major celebrity cameo in their latest preview, Liam Neeson.

Joining the girls in the much-anticipated preview for the final season is the world-famous actor from Northern Ireland.

Liam Neeson can be seen in the hilarious clip released as part of the show’s international debut this week.

The Derry Girls are in trouble again

Season three is set to be the final season for the worldwide hit Derry Girls.

Overnight the final season has debuted in the UK with the program expected to release on Netflix in Australia soon.

And Clare, Erin, Orla, Michelle and James look set to go out in their usual hilarious style.

The debut of the final season has revealed one very high profile star as part of the final season.

Once again the group find themselves in trouble with the law as we see them being questioned at the local police station.

The officer in charge is revealed to be none other than Liam Neeson.

Despite being known worldwide the actor is originally from Northern Ireland, so he’s a fitting choice for the role.

His calm and rational tones with that ever so familiar voice pair well with the chaotic and terrified energy of the show’s fab five.

Caught on-site at school after a recent robbery the girls, and wee James are being questioned about their involvement.

Oscillating between Michelle’s attitude and Claire’s sheer terror the group are trying to find their way out of this one.

When offered their phone call home they remember their secret weapon.

Uncle Colm.

More to come for the final season

In recent interviews, the Derry Girls stars have teased much more to come for the iconic final season.

Louisa Harland who plays Orla revealed there are going to be some big names gracing the small town of Derry.

“I think people are going to lose their minds when they see who,” she said, without revealing any more details.

But it’s not just the big names that will have audiences excited.

Dylan Llewellyn, best known as the tortured wee English fella James, confirmed some familiar favourites will return.

Calling the characters “icons” he said, “We’re so lucky to have them back.”

With so many brilliant characters in the mix we’ll be spoilt for choice, at least we know the iconic Sister Michael will indeed be returning.
