Get ready for Darwin Pride Festival this week, celebrating Top End visibility, activism and community with four days of fabulous events.
Kicking off June 18, Darwin Pride Festival brings four days of powerful community connection, creativity, and celebration across Darwin.
This year’s theme is Created in Pride. Connected by Community, celebrating the strength, diversity, and joy of the LGBTQIASB+ community in the Top End.
Now in it’s 4st year, the entire community comes together “to celebrate who we are, our stories, our identities, our creativity, and the unique connections that bind us together in the Top End,” the Darwin Pride website says.
Community is at the core of this year’s program, “a living celebration featuring diverse opportunities to perform, create, collaborate, and lead events that reflect the richness and diversity of our region.”

Across Darwin, the festival will showcase a dynamic lineup of free and ticketed arts and culture events, live music, performances and social events.
It all starts on Thursday with a free launch event in the Darwin Botanic Gardens Event Centre. The night will feature local entertainment, guest speakers, and more.
Friday, it’s all about Bubbles and business in an evening of networking, learning, and connection.
This event at CDU Danala Campus is designed for small to medium businesses to find out how to become more LGBTQIASB+ inclusive and better engage with the community.
