Crafty drag artist Vin Tagè has done it again, making a fab outfit from Australia Post post satchels for the ORIAS.
We will never stop being impressed by the creative talent of drag artist Vin Tagè.
Every year, they bring joy to the community at Pride March wearing an outfit they’ve fashioned from different Australia Post materials.
It’s the perfect way to represent the business’s pride group while marching alongside them.
Making them a feature in the Midsumma calendar, with people flocking to see what creation they will wear at Carnival.
Their creative expression seems to know no bounds, no matter the material they work with.
Well, they have done it again.

A new look for a new satchel.
Serving high fashion and flamboyant creativity at the 2025 Australia Post ORIAS Awards in Sydney.
“This is the second year Australia Post has invited me to the event.” Vin Tagè said.
“This year, they wanted me to create something new for some colour movement.”
Creating a specific outfit for the event, Vin Tagè created the look out of new Australia Post satchels that made their debut the same week.
“It was a way to highlight their new 250g or less satchels and make them a bit of a talking point.” Vin Tagè said.
“But I had to think differently about designing this piece from the ones I make for Pride March,
“Because it needed to be a bit more functional.”
“Plus, I had to get it from Melbourne to Sydney.”

It’s all about the bags, not the queen.
When the bags arrived for Vin Tagè to start crafting, they weren’t expecting them to be made out of paper.
“It threw me because suddenly what I had planned wouldn’t work, and I had to throw my original sketch out the window.”
“The new satchels were a lot more rigid than I had planned.
“Which is great for posting things, but not for an outfit.” Vin Tagè laughed
“I’d never really worked with paper before, and wanted to make sure the outfit didn’t become papier-mache if I sweated.”
Finding new creative ways to shine, Vin Tagè created a base structure and got to work.
“Unlike my previous Australia Post looks, I had to make sure that the new satchels were a feature of the outfit.”
“And not just being used as a fabric substitute.”
Luckily, there was no issue getting the completed garment from Melbourne to Sydney.
“Australia Post was amazing,” they laughed.
“We sent it on Monday, and it was there in the green room on Thursday.”
Unpacking the outfit in the green room, Vin Tagè used the excess bubble wrap and packaging to secure the outfit.
Buffing out the shoulders and lining the corset with the packaging plastic.
It looked amazing and even got a mention on Channel Ten’s comedy Have You Been Paying Attention?

Creating positive queer representation.
“When Gary Star, the General Manager who reports to the CEO of Australia Post, called me out and they put a spotlight on me and 750 people turned around, it was surreal,” they said.
“But what meant the most to me was when a nonbinary person came up to me and said seeing me helped them feel at ease in the room.”
“Events like this can seem very straight-laced and be intimidating for some.
“So seeing a drag queen in a big Australia Post outfit just helped them feel at ease.
“I never considered that what I was doing could have such positive queer representation for others.
“I felt very emotional when they shared that with me.”
For Vin Tagè, being trusted to create a look and represent an organisation like Australia Post is a real honour.
Especially when it happens outside of our summer pride season.
“I love that Australia Post trust me enough to give me the freedom to be creative with their brand.”
“And support me as we build on this queer creativity.”
Well, Vin Tagè, it looks like you have levelled up your Australia Post look AGAIN.
And every time it elevates even more.
We can’t wait to see what your next creative creation is.
Because we are sure it will be fantastic.
I mean, c’mon, there’s even a matching handbag!!!!
