Coronation Street Star’s Lesbian Role Gets Her Major Female Attention

UK soap star Rhea Bailey has given new meaning to the term “fatal attraction”.

She plays the role of lesbian soldier Caz Hammond on soapie Coronation Street, the controlling fianceé of factory worker Kate Connor (played by Kaye Brookes) in the long-running soapie.

Bailey told The Mirror she attracts a lot of female attention because of her portrayal of the on-screen same-sex romance – even at a funeral!

“I’ve definitely been hit on by a lot more girls than usual,” she said. “The last time was at a funeral a few weeks ago.

“I was like, ‘Is this really appropriate?’ But she was very sweet and attractive.”

Bailey is flattered by all the attention, which has also included being asked for a selfie in the gym changing room while completely starkers.

“I asked her if she could wait until I had some clothes on! I’ve never felt so vulnerable in my life,” she said.

To date, the overtures from her adoring female fans have been rejected – but it seems Bailey has left the door ajar.

“You can fall in love with anyone but my track record so far is I’ve only been in love with boys,” she said.
