Australia’s Prince of Polyester Bob Downe is bringing his retro crooner nightclub show Viva Bob Vegas to Brisbane.
Punters can sing along to Bob’s new Vegas-style lounge act in an evening of comedy and classic hits featuring the performer and his live band.
If you can’t go to Vegas, let Vegas come to you this Mother’s Day weekend.
Viva Bob Vegas is coming to the Twelfth Night Theatre in Bowen Hills on Saturday, May 8 and Sunday, May 9.

“Viva Bob Vegas is my lounge act, it’s the act that got me thrown out of Vegas. It was too much fun even for them,” Bob quipped to 4QK.
“I get a little bit Wayne Newton, a little bit Don Lane. Let’s swing it up.
“We’ve got a live band, that’s what I’m excited about. And the best thing about these Brisbane shows is it’s Mother’s Day weekend.
“I’m doing a Mother’s Day special, including a 2pm matinee. Shandies all round!”
Bob Downe is the campy persona of Australian comedian, actor and broadcaster Mark Trevorrow.
As well as numerous TV appearances, the local legend has toured his many stage shows around comedy, cabaret and pride festivals for decades across Australia and the UK.
