The iconic singer, whose career spans six decades, headlined the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras party earlier this year as part of the event’s historic 40th anniversary celebrations.

“My visit to Sydney’s Mardi Gras reminded me how unique and beautiful Australia is,” she said earlier this year.

“It’s been 13 years since I toured there so I thought ‘Let’s do it one more time’.”

Cher returned to the big screen with a role in musical sequel Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, out today.

The singer performs ABBA classic “Fernando” in the film, and earlier this week teased an entire album of ABBA covers she’d been working on.
