Australian cabaret star Hans is heading back on the road on a national tour of his dazzling stage show Disco Spektakulär.

Last year, the Berlin-born performer’s unfortunate injury on a cruise ship in Turkey kept Hans off the stage for several months.

But you can’t keep a good German down. Hans is “rising like a purple feathered phoenix from the ashes” for his first solo show.

Hans describes his Disco Spektakulär as a show combining comedy, music and dance moves in a big night of cabaret entertainment.

There are plenty of both capital city and regional dates all over Australia for his dazzling stage shows.

“Honeys! If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t heard, I’m heading out on tour all around Australia,” the performer said.

“We’re going to South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria with the most fabulous and hilarious night of cabaret disco. I’ll be joined by my delicious dancers The Lucky Bitches.

“Some towns are already sold out with others on their way, so don’t miss out.”

The multi Adelaide Fringe Best Cabaret Award winner has sold out both shows in his adopted hometown of Adelaide.

Hans said he’ll perform a third show at the Norwood Concert Hall on December 2.

Hans gets Cabaret Icon award

In June, Hans received the Adelaide Cabaret Festival’s Cabaret Icon Award. The gong honours cabaret artists for a significant contribution to the art form.

Hans joins the likes of stage icons Reg Livermore, Meow Meow, Paul Capsis, Rhonda Burchmore and others.

“It’s a feeling I don’t experience often, but I was humbled to accept the 2023 Cabaret Icon Award,” Hans said.

“Darling, it’s just proof that if you tell everyone something for long enough, eventually they will all catch on.”
