Musical theatre darling Megan Hilty will next week take to the stage in Brisbane for the very first time as part of the Queensland Cabaret Festival.

Accompanied by her four-piece band, including her musical director and pianist Matt Cusson and husband Brian Gallagher on guitar, Megan will take her audience on a trip through the American Songbook when she performs at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre on June 9.

Songbird Megan has played roles in stage shows like Wicked, 9 to 5: The Musical and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. She’s also known for her starring role in the musical television series Smash.

Other performers in town for the Cabaret Festival include cult film star Molly Ringwald; Grammy award-winning vocalist Lisa Fischer; David Bowie tribute show Ziggy Stardust; and The Simpsons star Harry Shearer with Judith Owen.

The Queensland Cabaret Festival runs until June 12 at QPAC and the Brisbane Powerhouse. For tickets and more information, visit or
