Brisbane is about to get a new gay club night right in the heart of Brisbane’s vibrant and diverse West End every Wednesday at The Loft, launching the 16th September with a funked up DJ plus a range of boutique beers, cocktails, scotches and more!
Over the last few years, The Loft has emerged as one of Brisbane’s best kept secrets. From its days as Uber Night Club above Archive Beer Boutique, the venue has been through a revamp, relaunch and now a refocus of its identity within the West End scene.
Already a popular LGBT hangout, The Loft management told QNews that having a specific gay night was just a natural extension for them, describing the upmarket bar as the “venue that the LGBT community in Brisbane has been waiting for”.
“We already have a loyal gay patronage at our bar and we decided that it is time we celebrate marriage equality. We are proud to be an establishment that supports all” Archive and Loft representative Ra Marcroft said.
“Wednesday night is our ‘Equality @Loft West End’, gold coin donation and a percentage of the bar takings being given Australian Marriage Equality and other organisations that support LGBT rights and issues. It is time we gave back and provided a venue with class and authenticity for the LGBT community starting with Wednesday nights but welcoming whenever we are open”.
Equality is an issue for the whole community so everyone is welcome at The Loft “EQUALITY” launch on Wed 16 September.
The Loft West End, 100 Boundary St, West End from 6:00pm. There will be a big official launch party at the beginning of October so keep an eye out for details.
