Huge lineup at Brisbane’s Sportsman Hotel this Pride weekend

Brisbane’s Sportsman Hotel is continuing the city’s Pride celebrations with a post-Fair Day afterparty this weekend.

This year’s Brisbane Pride March and Fair Day events are set to go ahead from 10am this Saturday (October 30).

And after Fair Day wraps up, Sportsman Hotel are inviting everyone to keep the celebrations going at the venue.

All three bars at Sporties will open on Saturday night, with dancing and drinking while standing permitted.

The venue’s restaurant is serving up amazing meals from 5.30pm for hungry punters after Fair Day.

From 7pm, drag icon Betty Nature is hosting the long-running CWC Cabaret extravaganza with a lineup of Queensland’s best drag entertainers.

For more than 30 years, the CWC Cabaret has presented amazing drag shows and prizes to raise money for a good cause.

Entry is $10, with proceeds going to support the work of Queensland Positive People.

Berry Delicious, Petra Fiedwood, Heather Daze, Mandy Moobs, Emerald Stone, Chanice O’Leggsup, Petra D’vine, Tara Ra Boomdiay, Florence Fettucini, Gina Vanderpump, Rayonce Weir, Mystique Matthews, Tia Maria, Dame Liz Taylor, Taylor Ette, Katya Lou-King, Britney Love, Diamond Good-rim are all set to perform.

Later in the evening, Sporties’ own fabulous production show Jizzney Gals stars Anya Bike, Ho’vanna Crown and Chocolate Boxx from 11pm.

Also, downstairs in the Sporties Bunker Bar, BootCo will throw their “Jocktober” dance party on Saturday night.

Sportsman Hotel’s capacity boosted after restrictions ease

The Sportsman Hotel offers food, beverages and entertainment at 130 Leichhardt Street in Spring Hill, Brisbane.

Earlier this month, the venue celebrated the easing of COVID-19 restrictions allowing increased capacity, dancing and drinking while standing.
