Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit our shores back in March 2020, we have seen thousands of Australians doing it tough. Consequently, 2021 has been a time to push on and rebuild for many, and the Brisbane Hustlers Rugby Union team are no exception.
Since getting back into the swing of things, the Brisbane Hustlers have returned stronger than ever with new, zealous players joining the team during the last six months. While each new player brings a unique level of experience to the team, Hustlers President, Jason Garrick, says that experience isn’t the main concern.
“What’s most important, is the adoption of the Hustlers culture. If you can play and you want to play, you are welcome to play.”
Jason said that with each new recruit, the club grows richer and more vibrant.
“These additional players mean that the Brisbane Hustlers have a future and a very bright one at that.”
Norths Rugby Club
As a result of the team growth, the Brisbane Hustlers have obtained a home field with Norths Rugby Club for the remainder of 2021, which has been instrumental in the team securing regular Friday night games.
Norths Rugby Club believes that diversity and inclusion in rugby is a cornerstone. Jason said, “The Norths Rugby Club have been incredibly welcoming to the Brisbane Hustlers.”
The Brisbane Hustlers are proud of their contribution to this legacy.
There is no denying that the past six months have been a time for recovery. Yet, 2021 has seen the Brisbane Hustlers progress and flourish with new opportunities at every corner.
