The finalists are set at the Bingham Cup in Brisbane after a huge Saturday of knockout rugby narrowed the field across all four competitions.
After two days of pool matches, day three brought the quarter-finals and semi-finals, with the Bingham Cup, Amanda Mark Cup, Hoagland Cup and Challenger competitions now all heading towards their Sunday deciders.
Here’s how the penultimate day unfolded.
Amanda Mark Cup

Ottawa Wolves are back in the Amanda Mark Cup final, where they will face Ireland’s Emerald Warriors on Sunday.
The Canadians, who won the competition in 2022 before finishing runners-up at the most recent tournament in 2024, booked their place with a 12-5 semi-final win over Village Lions/Mudturtles.
Emerald Warriors came through a much tighter semi-final, edging Nashville Stone Lions 12-10 to reach the decider.
For the Australian sides, Melbourne Chargers Women and Brisbane Hustlers Women put up strong fights but both went down in the quarter-finals.

Bingham Cup
The Bingham Cup final will bring together two of the competition’s most successful clubs, with Kings Cross Steelers and Sydney Convicts both surviving tight semi-final battles.
Kings Cross Steelers from the UK edged past hosts Brisbane Hustlers 8-5, while Sydney Convicts came through another close contest against San Francisco Fog, winning 22-17 in extra time.

Sydney Convicts took to Instagram saying:
“A nail biting extra time finisher against our brothers at the San Francisco Fog. An epic game and absolute credit to the Fog for one of the toughest games of rugby we’ve ever fought through.”
For Brisbane, it was a heartbreaking end after one of their strongest performances of the tournament earlier in the day, when they beat defending champions Les Gaillards 38-0 in the quarter-finals.
The team took to Instagram after the result:
“A devastating loss for our Hustler Black Squad tonight. Falling short of the Kings Cross Steelers by just 3 points,” they said.
“A hard fought game that was down to the wire. A big congratulations to Kings Cross as they progress into the Bingham Cup final against Sydney.”

The other Australian sides were eliminated at the same stage, with the First Nations Lorikeets going down to Kings Cross Steelers and Melbourne Chargers Gold beaten by San Francisco Fog.
It sets up a heavyweight final between two clubs with plenty of Bingham history.
Sydney have won the Bingham Cup five times and were runners-up to Les Gaillards in Rome two years ago.
Kings Cross won their first Bingham Cup in Ottawa in 2022, having previously finished runners-up in 2002 and 2008.
