Aussies can now stream the blood-soaked psychosexual queer slasher from trans and non-binary filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun, starring Gillian Anderson and Hannah Einbinder, Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma, on MUBI.
Kicking off spooky season, streaming platform MUBI is streaming the blood-soaked, meta slasher with a distinctly queer edge.
Led by Emmy-winning actress Hannah Einbinder (Hacks) and Gillian Anderson (The X-Files, Sex Education), Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is the latest feature from trans and non-binary filmmaker Jane Schoenbrun.
“After years of slapdash sequels, the Camp Miasma franchise is handed over to an enthusiastic young director for resurrection,” the synopsis reads.
“But when she visits the original’s star, a now-reclusive actress shrouded in mystery, the two women fall into a blood-soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium.”

“Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson lead a cast that includes Jack Haven, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, and Patrick Fischler.
“Jane Schoenbrun follows I Saw the TV Glow with a new kind of remake, carving up slasher conventions with surreal, campy abandon.”

Schoenbrun’s best attempt at the ‘sleepover classic’
Schoenbrun, whose previous films We’re All Going to the World’s Fair and I Saw the TV Glow put them firmly in the horror limelight, wrote and directed the project.
“I make movies I wish existed when I was a kid,” they previously said. “Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is my best attempt at the ‘sleepover classic’. An insane yet cozy midnight odyssey that beckons to unsuspecting viewers from the horror section at the local video store.”
The supporting cast includes Jasmin Savoy Brown, Quintessa Swindell and Jack Haven, alongside a wider collection of familiar faces.
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma premiered in May at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where it received a six-minute standing ovation and took home the Queer Palm award.
The film is currently sitting at 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and 91/100 on Metacritic, with critics praising its originality, emotional intensity and fearless queer perspective.
The film is screening as part of MUBI’s specially curated collection of horror and cult cinema, alongside Possession, Rapture, Suspiria, Hereditary, The Babadook, The Love Witch and Titane.
Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma is a must-watch for queer horror fans and is streaming now on MUBI.
