Australian pop singer and TikTok star Peach PRC has come out as lesbian in an extremely cute social media post.
The Adelaide-born singer-songwriter who has 1.8 million fans on the social media platform made the announcement on Instagram.
“Came out as a lesbian today (to be fair the closet was made of glass lol),” the 24-year-old wrote on Sunday.
Fans left messages of support in the comments section.
“So proud of you! Love you always,” one fan wrote, while another declared the Peach “our lesbian queen”
“Thank you for the hyper-femme lesbian representation. My young lesbian self could have really used this when I was growing up,” one supporter wrote.
“You have NO idea how many lives you are changing by proudly living as an openly visible lesbian. I love, love, love this and you.”
The singer replied, “Aw my heart.”
Peach PRC ‘finally at peace’ with sexuality after ‘shying away’
The singer told Pedestrian.tv the response from her fans had been “really beautiful and supportive”.
“I feel so welcomed by the lesbian community and finally at peace with something I’ve been shying away from for the longest time,” she said.
Peach PRC joined TikTok in 2019. Since then the Adelaide performer has amassed 1.8 million followers and over 100 million likes on the social media platform.
In February 2021, the singer confirmed she’d signed a record deal with Island Records in Australia and Republic Records in the US.
Peach PRC released her major label debut single “Josh” early last year.
According to predictions, the track may crack the top 40 of the Triple J Hottest 100 this weekend (January 22).
