Australian drag star Art Simone has turned up to a local COVID-19 vaccination hub in her home state of Victoria to get vaccinated in full drag.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under star told her social media followers she got her second jab on Friday at the Royal Exhibition Building in the Melbourne suburb of Carlton.
Art turned up and turned it out at the venue in a blue number with “Get The Vax” on the front and literal syringes in her wig.
The drag queen shared a series of photos of herself lining up outside and seated inside with those around her hilariously unfazed.
“LETS GET VACCINATED!” the Geelong drag performer wrote on her Instagram.
“As soon as you’re eligible, PLEASE get vaccinated.
“For you and your loved ones, this is our only way forward.
“Massive thanks to my nurse Mike and all the amazing team working tirelessly to protect us.”

Art Simone responds to Victoria’s sixth lockdown
Last Thursday, Victoria’s Premier Daniel Andrews announced his state would enter seven-day lockdown in response to a shock resurgence in COVID-19 cases.
It’s sadly the state’s sixth lockdown in Victoria since the start of the pandemic.

On Monday morning, Premier Andrews said the stay-at-home orders would be lifted for regional Victoria late on Monday night.
Art Simone was named runner-up on the inaugural season of Drag Race Down Under earlier this year.

I applaud you, an excellent get the vax promotion.
Now we are waiting for the MSM to cover the story and for the Federal government to feature Ms Simone in a new ad targeting ALL minority groups. It would certainly be more effective than the awful ads we’ve had to endure so far.
