Art Simone Etcetera Etcetera

Two of the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera have released their first single, Encore.

The upbeat, high energy and sassy track is the perfect song for these two fabulous queens.

Their single has dropped as the iconic duo prepare for their national tour, As Seen On TV.

Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera

It feels like forever since Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera first graced our screens on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under.

With lock downs and restrictions everywhere after their season filmed the queens had to work hard to keep developing their craft in a time when everything was closed.

But with the country open again they’ve released Encore as a way to let Australia know they are back in action.

“As the old saying goes, the show must go on – and we wrote this song to tell the world we still have a few tricks up our glittery sleeves” said Etcetera Etcetera.

“The track is high energy, uplifting and catchy. I’ve had it stuck in my head for weeks and I wrote it!”

For Art Simone, it’s a chance for the queens to reintroduce themselves to the public.

“We’re back for more Australia! As everything reopens and we all go back to our lives, we thought it was a perfect chance to refresh and re-introduce ourselves to the planet.”

“This is our encore and the world is our stage – this track is a packed with personality, toe tapping and a love letter to everyone who has been hiding in the curtains – it’s time to step out into the spotlight and take your applause!”

As Seen On TV Tour

Coinciding with the release of their single Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera have also embarked on their national tour, As Seen On TV.

The tour will take them to all the far corners of Australia, reaching venues and audiences that might normally miss out on shows like this.

Earlier this year Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera sat down to talk to Qnews about the upcoming tour.

“We really just want to bring drag to places where they don’t normally get the exposure of drag and see what happens,” said Etcetera Etcetera.

“We want to make sure we take our show to every single place and we get to create safe inclusive spaces for people to come and see us in drag,” reflects Art Simone.

The As Seen On TV tour will be about more than just putting on a show, Art Simone and Etcetera Etcetera will also be hosting makeup workshops as well.

It’s this part of the tour that is most important to Etcetera Etcetera.

“I think the makeup workshop gives us more of a chance to meet our fans that love our work and really sit down with them and talk them through what we love about drag.”

“It’s really important for me as a trans person being able to to these regional areas and talking to maybe other trans people who want to learn tips about make up or ask questions about ways to feel more comfortable in their skin or to express themselves.”
