Start your engines, RuPaul’s Drag Race is spreading its wings once again.

The global phenomenon has announced another country is now embracing the franchise.

And they’re heading to Europe, again!

Rupaul’s Drag Race: Sweden

That’s right!

Get your flat packs and meatballs ready, RuPaul’s Drag Race is heading to Sweden.

It’s the latest in a long line of spin-offs for the series that is seeing the program take the world by storm.

Only recently the program has announced its French counterpart, set to be helmed by season 12 contestant Nicky Doll.

The program this week also launched season two of Drag Race España which has debuted to rave reviews around the world.

The Drag Race Family continues to grow

Not many details are available about the latest spin-off. However, Tom Campbell and RuPaul will executive-produce the show alongside Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey, the founders of World of Wonder.

Barto and Bailey released a statement to announce the program, expressing their joy at seeing the franchise continue to grow.

Drag Race and the art of drag are worldwide phenomena that continue to attract global viewers. So we are thrilled to introduce a fierce new group of queens with Drag Race Sweden,” they said.

“As our drag family continues to grow, we look forward to watching these new queens sashay onto our screens.”

Rupaul’s Drag Race now has spin-offs in Thailand, Canada, the UK, Holland, Australia, Spain and Italy as well as the upcoming instalments in the Phillippines and France.

It is expected that judges and a host will be revealed in the coming months.

Given the format of other international spin-offs, it is not expected that RuPaul will host the Swedish version of the program.
