Adele Dressed Up As Her Hero Dolly Parton And Dolly Responded

Adele has dressed up as country music legend Dolly Parton in a loving tribute she posted to her social media accounts.

The singer didn’t mention the reason for the costume – which included a pink bejewelled top, feathers, a blonde wig and Dolly’s signature makeup – but Adele gushed with praise for the country singer.

“The effortless queen of song, Dolly Parton! We love you! We wish We could possess an ounce of your ability. You were the hero of our night! A hero of my life. I’ll always love you x,” Adele wrote.

When she saw the tweet, Dolly responded with her approval.

“And I will always love you!” she said, referencing her 1973 song of the same name, made famous by Whitney Houston in 1992.

In her 2016 song “Head Over High Heels”, Parton gave Adele a shout-out with the line, “I painted my lips red and my eyes like Adele.”

Parton told Digital Spy that year she loved Adele, and said that she “would love to do something with her.”

Adele broke several ticket sales records with her epic Australian tour last year, but told fans it may be her last world tour.
