Superstar Adele’s sold out world tour has seen her perform to packed audiences in 107 different venues across the UK, Europe and North America.

Now she’s delighted her Australian fans this week after announcing her upcoming Australian tour in a handwritten letter posted to her social media accounts.
“G’day, it’s me,” Adele wrote.

“I was wondering if after ten years in the game you’d finally like to meet me in Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide?

“Yep! I am coming Down Under. In-the-round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums to make sure I get to see as many of you as possible. I can’t wait.”

Fans were ecstatic, with her Instagram post scoring 294,000 likes in less than a day.

Drawing inspiration from the traditional theatre setting known as “in the round”, Adele’s Australian tour will be performed in stadiums specifically designed to give a 360 degree view of the stage.

These venues were specially chosen to create a greater sense of connection and intimacy with the audience, and all stadium venues on the tour will also have special reserved seating, in both the Grandstands and the Playing fields.
