A lineup of Brisbane men will compete for the title of Mr Sportsman Hotel at the gay venue this Saturday (April 23).
The annual men’s pageant is one of the Brisbane LGBTIQ+ venue’s most popular events.
This year, Sporties is on the hunt for the ultimate plant daddy with the contest’s theme “Jungle Cruising”.
Brisbane drag star Gayleen Tuckwood is hosting the competition on Saturday, April 23 from 10pm until late.
Gayleen will put all nine of the gorgeous men through their paces as they show off plenty of skin for punters and the panel of judges across the contest’s different rounds.
Aside from the glory and bragging rights of the Mr Sporties title, there’s also $2000 worth of prizes up for grabs, thanks to Sportsman Hotel’s generous sponsors.
This weekend’s winner will take over from reigning Mr Sporties, Brisbane man Brendan Hancock, who took out the coveted title in 2021.
Mr Sportsman Hotel is the men’s counterpart of the popular Miss Sportsman Hotel drag pageant. The contest is produced by Sporties’ Duty Manager Dylan Hodgon.
The sexy event has been running at the venue for over 20 years.
On April 23, the current reigning Miss Sporties Elle De Flower will give a special performance during the contest.
The Sportsman Hotel is open Tuesday to Sunday from 1.00pm until late, with great food and live drag shows every night.
Mr Sportsman Hotel 2021 is on this Saturday, April 23 at Sporties at 130 Leichhardt Street in Spring Hill, Brisbane. Entry is free.
