A bright future for QNews under new publisher

qnews

Queensland’s own fortnightly LGBT publication QNews is set to enjoy a bright and prosperous future with the recent sale of the business to a proud Queensland businessman who wishes to see the publication not just continue,  but to grow whilst continuing the essential support LGBT communities of Queensland and Northern NSW for many years to come.

This means QNews now has a new rock-solid stability and the ability to introduce some visionary technology to integrate and serve our community.

The new owner has spoken to some staff about new plans to broaden QNews’ reach into the community, including greater online opportunities to provide community groups with even greater coverage and advertisers with more exposure and higher returns on their investments.

All staff and volunteer writers have been asked to continue their much-valued contributions and positions under the new ownership of Richard Bakker. The new QNews owner looks forward to explaining his vision to the entire QNews team and then subsequently our readers in the very near future.

This is the first time the magazine changed hands since the publication’s inception in November 2000, making it the most stable of Queensland’s major LGBT publications.
