Record sponsorship levels have been achieved by the team at QNews who have donated more than $10,000 worth of advertising and marketing to well deserving community groups.
Q News publisher Ray Mackereth said “It is truly rewarding for the whole QNews team to be able to put back into the community with what we do best - providing deserving groups access to our resources.”
“We were inundated with requests for help from many worthwhile community groups and although we were not able to assist all of them this time around, we have invited some groups to reapply in the next round of sponsorship as this is set to become a three monthly event.”
“QNews is made up of a great team of writers, editorial, sales, photographers, distributors and staff who take great pride in our achievements. Some of our team are volunteers and have been supporting us for many years. It is thanks to everyone's support we have been able to achieve so much ” Mr Mackereth said.
QNews received applications from a diverse range of causes, with many regional groups asking for assistance. Some groups sought assistance in promoting first rate youth counselling services, others for large social events that brought like minded people together for fun, festivals, events and some wanted to help start support groups.
QNews recently built a website QGroups.com.au where all community groups and services are invited to publicise their organisation no matter how large or small they are, for FREE. QGroups.com.au website was built to help people find other people like themselves.
This latest round of sponsorship is a progression of QNews' community support to assist groups to grow and get greater exposure in our community. The next round of sponsorship will be released mid August and will invite groups to utilise QNews advertising and marketing including the QNews website for the months of October - December 2009.
