All Girl Derby ‘Rolls’ into Brisbane

Roller DerbyRoller derby is a fast-paced full contact women’s team sport that requires speed, strategy, and athleticism. This American invention is historically, a form of sports entertainment.
Now this spectacular sports event is coming to Brisbane.
Two all girl, roller skate wearing teams of 5, compete against each other around an oval track.
This will be the first Roller Derby game in central Brisbane since the 1970’s! An international grassroots DIY revival occurred that has seen Roller Derby spread beyond its American roots, with now over 25 leagues in Australia!
Spectators will witness the development of an exhilarating, athletic, entertaining yet serious sport. Nothing else compares to it. Fans feel very passionate about flat-track roller derby. If you are not a fan already, you soon will be!

The night will kick off the North Brisbane Rollers in bout 1 of their second season.
The event is for all ages and will also have live music and entertainment. Market stalls, food and drinks as well as a fully licensed bar will provide a great night out.  Eftpos and ATM facilities are available at the venue tickets are available at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, from 6pm on the night of the event.
Ticket purchase does not guarantee you a seat. There is limited seating but plenty of standing room. Trackside ‘on the floor’ is for the bravest spectators! Get there early to ensure a good position.
