Kylie and Sam Sparro up for Grammys

Aussie singing superstars Kylie Minogue and Sam Sparro have both been nominated for Grammy awards.
Kylie has been nominated for best electronic/dance album for her X album. It is her fifth Grammy nomination since 2003; she won a Grammy in 2004 for best dance recording for Come Into My World.
Openly gay Australian singer/songwriter/producer Sam Sparro received his first Grammy nomination in the category of Best Dance Recording for the song "Black & Gold."
Sparro hope to fare better than the recent Aria Awards held in Sydney. Sam was nominated for five awards on the night but left empty handed, though he will be facing some tough opposition such as Madonna, Rihanna and Daft Punk.
Other Aussie nominees are rock legends AC/DC and country star Keith Urban.
The 51st Grammy awards will be held on February 8.
