Get ready for a taste of Tropical Hawaii this month when gen-A host their fourth bi-annual “One Night in Asia” Dance party.

The party, which includes a Hawaiian theme, will take place Saturday November 26th will see One Night in Asia move to a new venue, the always fabulous Wickham Hotel.

gen-A is a social group that was formed around Brisbane Pride in 2009 as a way for Brisbane’s Gay and Bisexual Asian men to meet up in a safe and casual environment. The group prides itself on being able to relax and share common thoughts with friends of a similar ethnic background.

Social outings include group dinners, rooftop BBQs, games nights, clubbing, lawn bowls and a beach weekend away. The dance party is the big event for gen-A and it’s one that caters not only to members but also their admirers and friends.

gen-A encourage all those interested to swing by in their sauciest grass skirt to dance, make friends and perhaps even get lei’d (wink). There will be plenty of prize give-aways and shows by a new drag duo called 'The Takeaway Queens' consisting of Sue She Tran and a new drag Kym Chi Guk.
