Last Wednesday nights event was received well with an attendance of approximately 140 people.

The event was organised by Psychologist Paul Martin from the Centre For Human Potential and also a QNews writer.

The main focus was the LNP’s intention to remove non-biological same sex parents from children’s birth certificates and remove same sex couples and singles from Surrogacy. The Government is set to move quickly on this issue.

Wednesday’s forum looked at how we can work on having an effective voice in the LNP given the diversity within the party from the hard right Conservative Christians, to MP’s who are actively supportive.

The event attracted some positive mainstream media attention including ABC News live on the night, PM Radio National and a couple of articles. 

A Facebook group has also been launched  http://www.facebook.com/groups/359599047447237/ and attracted almost 600 members within the first 24 hours demonstrating the strong desire for a positive and united way forward.
