By Tim Spencer Cosmo Jarvis who is best known for his confronting, ground breaking hit ‘Gay Pirates’ is back on the scene with a new album in the midst. Gay Pirates not only was extremely popular in YouTube but also managed to win over Australian hearts and fans by having the track voted into this year’s triple j’s hottest 100 – hopefully generating some understanding and changing some of the public’s thoughts on the idea of gay love not being equal as heterosexual’s love. As of 08 June, Cosmo has now released ‘Love This’ – another incredulously catchy, political song. Although Cosmo has claimed in past interviews that he isn’t ‘anti-religious,’ Love This (from what this editor can gather) is a song questioning a certain religion and their somewhat extremist ways...maybe. The film clip certainly sends a satirical, tongue in cheek message depicting Cosmo in a red devil’s outfit being attacked by white angels and so forth. Regardless, Cosmo still continues to break boundaries and immune the world to the not so conservative beliefs out there. A third album ‘Think Bigger’ is set for a 06 July release. Excitement!
