GAY ARTIST LEADS THE WAY AT THE GRAMMY AWARDS

Gay artist Frank Ocean is tied for the most Grammy nominations in the 55th annual list, it was announced late Wednesday (5 December).

The ‘Channel Orange’ rapper includes some of the most eagerly awaited categories: Album of the Year for his debut, Record of the Year for ‘Thinkin’ Bout You’ and Best New Artist.

He is also nominated for Urban Contemporary Album and Rap/Song Collaboration for ‘No Charge In The Wild,’ which he performed with renowned rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West.

His five nominations tie him for the most with Kanye West, Jay-Z, Dan Auerbabach of The Black Keys, fun. and Mumford & Sons.’

Speaking to The Guardian, he said after coming out he was happy when he woke up in the morning, and not with a freakin’ boulder on his chest.

The Odd Future singer is also an advocate for more people to come out to be gay role models.
